ABOUT NKU/GSC

NKU offers the region’s only 4-year AACSB accredited degree program focused on Global Supply Chain Management.  Since inception in 2017, the program has grown from 2 students to nearly 100 actively enrolled as well as 40 graduates    who are now working as Supply Chain professionals within the tri-state area.

RECENT NEWS AND EVENTS ABOUT NKU/GSC

The Verst Group Hub of Supply Chain Excellence opened in Fall of 2021 and is located on campus within the College of Business.  This center promotes collaboration and interaction amongst businesses, students and industry affiliation groups to better meet the needs of this booming in-demand sector for our region. The Hub will be equipped to serve as the heart of the Global Supply Chain Management program at NKU now and into the future. It will allow students and alumni the opportunity to connect and engage with businesses and affiliated groups within this growing field.

A key aspect of the Hub will be providing students with experiential learning opportunities through client-based capstone projects, internships and industry tours. It will also feature an innovative and interactive mural showcasing the history of the supply chain. The Hub will offer guest speakers, roundtable sessions, conferences, emerging tech demos, a job postings kiosk, reference library, student huddle areas and interview spaces. It will also serve as the home for the newly formed student chapter of ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management).

A COMMENT ON WHY NKU/GSC CHOSE TO BE A MEMBER OF CORBA

Recognizing the untapped potential of our inland waterways for logistics purposes, I joined so my students, colleagues and I can help explore how we can better utilize this regional asset.  CORBA has been a great partner and friend of NKU and we want to continue working together to learn and advance the use of the river systems for efficient commerce logistics.
